Haley Purdy was born today (at 8:15 am). She is beautiful! 7 lbs, 5 oz. 20 in long. Lots of black curly hair. We thought the social worker would only allow us to spend a few minutes with her yesterday. But thanks to Melody (the birth mother), we received unrestricted access to her. We spent probably 5-6 hours with her. She's in the NICU, but is doing extremely well and should move to the regular nursery tomorrow. They did an MRI to confirm the diagnosis of Dandy Walker, and to see the extent. But she looks wonderful! We can't wait to see her again tomorrow. We have two pictures online (now in manageable size!).
