Well, as you can see by the picture on the left, Haley had her 6-month pictures taken last weekend. What a cutie! The photographer told other parents there that she could work with Haley all day. Anyway, after Haley was done, the photographer asked if she could send Haley's pictures to the company's marketing department. How could we turn down that compliment? If you check out their website (www.kiddiekandids.com), it's possible that you might see Haley's picture, though there are no guarantees.

We also agreed to let them put Haley's pictures on display in this particular store (it's located in the Babies 'R Us in Tukwila, one of two Kiddie Kandid locations in the Puget Sound area). Needless to say, we were flattered. You can check out her pictures from Kiddie Kandids, as well as a few taken by us amateurs, by clicking here.

Haley had a couple of doctors' appointments at the end of last month. First up was her follow-up visit with Dr. Walker, her neurodevelopmentalist. It was her first visit with him since last November. Needless to say, he was thrilled with her progress. At one point, after playing with her for about 15-20 minutes, he said that he was looking and looking but he couldn't find any problems. He also said you could put Haley in a room with a bunch of other 6-month-olds and you'd never be able to pick out the one with Dandy Walker. He was so pleased he said he didn't need to see Haley again for 6 months! Another miracle in this baby's life...

Haley also had her 6-month checkup with her pediatrician, Dr. Hiegel. She said Haley looked great, as well. Haley came in at 15 lbs. 14 oz. and 26 1/4 inches long. 60th percentile. She handled her shots extremely well. What a trooper.

Haley has just been growing so well. She's eating a variety of solids. She loves rice and oat cereals, pears, and sweet potatoes. She tolerates bananas and green beans. She didn't care much for squash, or that little crumb of cornbread we gave her yesterday... She sits extremely well, loves to stand, and rolls over almost as soon as you lay her on the floor. Her only problem area (according to Jason) was during the ward variety show. She was startled by the cheering after the first act and started crying inconsolably. She didn't stop until all the acts were over, even though we'd taken her out into the foyer. As soon as it was done, she was happy as a clam. Jason says this is a problem because he's trying to prep her for her first live baseball game. Hopefully, it'll be this summer.

Anyway, that's all for now. Check the new "Haley's Stuff" section for her previous updates.
